System Administrator, Level 4

Department: Information Technology
Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group is seeking a System Administrator - Level 4 for the Virginia Beach Corporate Office!

The System Administrator, Level 4 will design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers and communication systems. They will also proactively manage and maintain the server and communication systems.

Responsibilities include the following:

  •  Administers and supports core Microsoft, VMware, LifeSize and HP SAN technologies.
  •  Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans.
  •  Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment.
  •  Define and document best practices and support procedures.
  •  Provide after-hours support for server and communication systems related emergencies and well occasional weekend maintenance.
  •  Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.
  •  Assist with hardware, telecom, and software vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiations.
  •  Mentor / Cross train team members on existing and new technologies.
  •  Carry out special tasks at Managementís direction.
  •  Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.
  •  Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.

Education/Experience Skills:

  •  Bachelorís Degree in Computer Science (or related area) with 2 years of experience, or 5 years work experience is required
  •  Microsoft Certifications (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired
  •  Expert level knowledge in Office 365 / Exchange Online design, configuration, and management is required
  •  Strong Storage Area Network (SAN) skills Ė management and design (HP Lefthand and Nutanix, Hyperconvergence)
  •  Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2008/2012)
  •  Advanced knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows 7 / 10)
  •  Manage in excess of 50 Windows Server infrastructure
  •  Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  •  Design and implement deployments / rollouts
  •  Manage large scale software installations
  •  Design and manage server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server / ESX
  •  A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking
  •  Advanced knowledge of Group Policy design and configuration
  •  Exchange 2010 / 2013 design, configuration, and management
  •  Linux administration
  •  Advanced knowledge of Active Directory / LDAP design, configuration, and management
  •  Advanced knowledge of printer and copier deployment and management through Microsoft Print Services and Pharos BluePrint services
  •  Advanced ability to troubleshoot network issues
  •  Design and implement projects spanning multiple days
  •  Presentation preparation and execution
