HR Generalist

Department: Human Resources
Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group is looking for an HR Generalist for our Virginia Beach Office.

The HR Generalist is responsible for managing all HR-related duties in a professional manner working closely with Senior HR Management, Senior Leadership and employees. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Benefits Administration, employee relations, and policy implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Full lifecycle of Benefits and Administration
  •  Administration of COBRA, FMLA, and Workers Compensation
  •  Preparing and submitting Unemployment claims 
  •  Compliance Reporting-EEO1 and ACA 
  •  Census Reporting for all audits and benefit administration 
  •  Assists with Employee Relations as directed by VP of HR 
  •  Reporting for various departments 
  •  Process Terminations  
  •  Prepares Correspondence as needed 

 Knowledge and Skills Required:

  •  Associates, Bachelors Degree in HR Management or equivalent is required
  •  1 year of HR Experience is preferred
  •  Experience working in the Mortgage Industry is preferred
  •  Has demonstrated experience maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations
  •  Has experience in maintaining human resources information system records
  •  Ability to work with multiple types of technology and multiple sites
  •  ADP Workforce Now knowledge is preferred
  •  Experience with Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
