Talent Acquisition Recruiter

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group is seeking a Talent Acquisition Recruiter in our Virginia Beach Operations Center! 

The Talent Acquisition Recruiter will be responsible for proactively recruiting and building pipelines of highly qualified candidates for Mortgage Operations. This includes developing and implementing recruitment programs that strengthen Atlantic Bay’s ability to attract, assess, select and integrate top talent into the organization.  

**Please note this is not a remote position** 

Essential Functions for the Role:

  • Meet with hiring managers to gain rapport, build trust and knowledge of their team.
  • Work closely with the hiring managers to oversee job description creation to keep them consistent and accurate.
  • Recruiter will be responsible for, but not limited to, screening resumes, phone screening candidates, scheduling in-person interviews and extending verbal offers to candidates.
  • Have excellent knowledge of external sourcing tools (i.e. Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Source candidates using various methods such as internet job posting sites, employee referrals and social media channels to attract a diverse and strong candidate pool.
  • The recruiter must be able to capture the culture of ABMG and represent it to all candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Must be passionate about people, be an active listener, energetic and have a 100% “can do” attitude.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment process.

 Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • 3+ years of full cycle recruiting experience is required.
  • Experience working in the Mortgage Industry is preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving recruitment through various recruiting strategies.
  • Should be a self-starter with a high level of initiative.
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Must be results-oriented; customer-service focused and possess strong organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Must be patient, calm under pressure and bring a team first attitude.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned according to the needs of the division/department.
