Director of Talent Acquisition

Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group is seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition for our Virginia Beach location!

 

Scope of the Position:

The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for promoting the strategy of the Talent Acquisition Department. They will support and build relationships with recruiters, employees, and hiring managers to meet evolving staffing needs and deliver the best talent to the company. Responsible for leading and developing recruiters in the department. The role will develop and implement strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent in a multi-site organization. The Director of Talent Acquisition will ensure the highest level candidate experience. Cross-trains with hiring managers to gain organizational knowledge and practice non-linear full cycle recruitment for assigned areas as requested.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for overseeing all steps of the recruiting process, to include but not limited to, requisition management, posting advertisements, sourcing, screening and interviewing, candidate correspondence and conducting hiring manager updates.

  • Establish effective relationships with hiring managers, internal associates and external candidates.
  • Lead and develop a strategically focused recruiting team and ensures team works effectively, collaboratively and creatively with individuals and teams throughout the company (in a consultative manner.)
  • Monitor timely and accurate data in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Maintain sourcing and referral networks, including college campuses and state and local employment agencies.
  • Develops and/or identifies innovative, creative and cost effective approaches for sourcing and selection that generate a pipeline of quality candidates using emerging tools, online resources and applicant tracking system (ATS) resources.
  • Provides direction and consultation on strategic and emerging staffing trends.
  • Manages applicant, new hire and hiring manager satisfaction surveys, maintaining dashboard and preparing related communications.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting on recruitment activities.
  • Establish high standard of excellence in recruitment process delivery including sourcing, screening, assessing and marketing to candidates.
  • Create and deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the interview process.
  • Develop creative and engaging strategies to actively recruit passive candidates.
  • Proactively develop and maintain job requisitions for current and future open positions.
  • Leverage social media and other external sources to create a robust warm candidate pipeline.
  • Ensure compliance with all external regulatory and internal policy recruiting and hiring requirements.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.
 
Skills and Experience:
  • 5-7 years talent acquisition/recruiting experience required.
  • Previous experience working with and maintaining Taleo preferred.
  • Bachelor degree or 5 years in related field/equivalent military experience required.
  • Strong PC proficiency in a Windows environment including Word, OneNote, Excel, Outlook, and Power-Point.
  • Proficient in sourcing candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter/Recruiter Lite.
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous priorities and thrive in a high paced environment.
  • Well organized and strong attention to detail with the ability as a leader to assign task and follow through with them.
  • Exceptional and professional written and verbal communication skills.
